ABOUT KAAH
KAAH Relief and Development Organization abbreviated as KAAH is a local humanitarian organization working in Somalia since its establishment the year 2001. The initiative came up after a group of Somali concerned professionals came together after carrying out needs assessment on the situation of the Somali people who have been affected by both natural and man-made disasters after the civil war KAAH was founded during 2001 by Somali concern citizens.
In the awake of the prolonged insecurity and droughts in Somalia and the increased lack of humanitarian access of humanitarian services to victims in Somalia, the founders agreed to form KAAH to address and mitigate the effects of biting natural and man-made disasters and the socio-economic problems of people in these regions.

- Enable communities to identify problems in their communities, formulate and implement activities to solve those problems and better manage their resource based through strategic partnership
- Respond actively to humanitarian emergencies through emergency responses programs and assist vulnerable communities prepare for future disasters.
- Reduce poverty and improve the quality of living in a sustainable manner by implementing integrated community development programs.
- Building the capacity of the local community structures on good governance, human rights and civil rights through civic empowerment and Human rights education.
