Road rehabilitation in Qodqod village in Mataban

This project was requested by the local communities in this village. KAAH did assessment in this village and the need for this road to be rehabilitated was prioritized and a total of 13km road in length was rehabilitated in Qodqod village which lies 23Km to the south east to the Mataban town. The project commencing from 1st-Jan to 30th April 2013.This project had one food distribution point and one site in Qodqod. A total of 578 participants took part in this project and 3468 beneficiaries were allocated. This project was funded by WFP and in the end the newly rehabilitated road provided new market routes for villagers in Qodqod to transport their products to nearby Mataban town.

Road Rehabilitation in Ilgule village in Mataban District in Hiran Region.

This project was requested by the local communities in this village. KAAH Relief and Development Organization carried out field assessment on food security in this village and the need for this road to be rehabilitated was high according to community members. Road of 5km in length was rehabilitated in Ilgule village which lies 26 Km to the south of Mataban town. This project started 1st-july to 31st October 2013.This project had one food distribution point and one site in Ilgule village. A total of 223 participants rehabilitated the road in a period of 104 days. This project was funded by WFP. After this road was rehabilitated, local community were able to access this road to transport their livestock products thus opening it up to reach neighboring local markets. The four months project has improved the infrastructure and created opportunities to the local community of the area.
